Full day of travel continues

Our driver took us to seem many of the sights of San Salvador. Above is the Catholic church of Don Rua and one of the many statues around town. We also managed to catch a nice lunch while in town. $80USD for a 4 hour tour was well worth it when you consider that we would have just been killing time at the airport. I would definitely be interested in returning at some point to spend a bit of time getting to know El Salvador.

Everywhere we went there we saw posters and ads for the two candidates in the upcoming presidential election. On the way pack to the airport there were long processions of cars and trucks all packed with flag wavers.

From San Salvador we caught our flight to Lima where are driver met us at the airport at the correct time of 7:30pm despite my telling him that we were flying in at 7:30 am. We had a great meal on the Ocean last night with live Entertainment. Very similar to Casa de Gonsalaz in Puerto Vallarta but costing $50 instead of $300.

After a good night of sleep, a shower, and hopefully gettting my ears to pop someday after all the flights with a head cold, I could really like Lima.
